Kauai is known as the “garden island” and for good reason. It has been the backdrop of numerous Hollywood movies including: Jurassic park, South Pacific, Raiders of the Lost Arc and many more. There is no shortage of gorgeous coastline to explore (Kauai is has more miles of beach than any other island!) And the hiking is unparalleled. We explored as a family in January and found it is the perfect place to seek adventure or relax on a pristine beach. With 3 kids in tow (all under 6) all of the hiking we did can be done by the majority of people and the beaches we explored are perfect for solo travelers and families alike.
